The deliberate intention is to organize the international exhibition specialized in the food and beverage industry on a large scale to support Vietnamese food production enterprises to develop domestic consumption as well as export markets by introducing their products and brand names globally. Moreover, it will be a great opportunity to assist the trade connections between local and international businesses in approaching innovative machinery and technological advancements for product quality increases, production process improvements, and business administration enhancements.

The Ho Chi Minh City International Exhibition on the Food and Beverage Industry in 2023 has been organized for the first time, with the recorded impressive results of over 16,500 visitors from 30 countries and more than 500 direct trade connections. With conscious preparation, the HCMC FOODEX 2023 has created tremendous impressions and attracted a lot of attention from domestic and foreign businesses, and the state management agencies. Specifically, more than 90% of exhibitors gave positive feedback on the effectiveness of the HCMC FOODEX 2023, and more than 500 media articles were simultaneously reported by press agencies and television stations.

As a further movement following the brilliant success of the HCMC FOODEX 2023, the HCMC FOODEX 2024 is expected to continue to be a professional exhibition with international standards to create a driving force to help domestic enterprises in the food and beverage industry become more oriented to advanced technologies and meet global requirements for product quality. Furthermore, it is a chance for businesses to explore, improve, and develop comprehensively to deeply participate in the global value chain by having better market research and development, building more reputable brands and products, and being more competitive in both the domestic and export markets.

The exhibition is chaired by the Investment and Trade Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC) in collaboration with the Food and Foodstuff Association of Ho Chi Minh City (FFA). It is implemented according to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City’s Official Letter No.4918/KH-UBND dated October 03, 2023 about the organization of the HCMC FOODEX 2024 with the specific information below:

1. Time: May 15 - 18, 2024

2. Venue: Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC),

No.799 Nguyen Van Linh Street, Tan Phu Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

3. Participants: Vietnamese and international businesses having research, production, and business in the field of agricultural production; food production and processing; production of machinery, equipment, and technology for processing, packaging and preserving agricultural products and food; local and international business associations, organizations and experts specialized in food production. 

4. Activities: The HCMC FOODEX 2024 expects to have about 500 booths with the participation of 300 Vietnamese and international enterprises. There are various meaningful and valuable activities consisting of business matching in the food and beverage industry and technological advancement for processing, packaging and preserving the field; and Vietnamese and international culinary culture performance, exchange and promotion.
