Vietnam SuperPort partners Vietnam Post in digital logistics to accelerate SME growth

This strategic partnership is set to play a pivotal role in enhancing the flow of goods across the region, offering SMEs a streamlined pathway to international markets.

The MoU marks the start of cutting-edge collaborations between Vietnam SuperPort™ and Vietnam Post, leveraging their combined strengths to facilitate efficient trade and logistics solutions. Both parties are committed to providing SMEs with a seamless solution that simplifies the export process.

Vietnam SuperPort and Vietnam Post will cooperate to help SMEs connect with markets in Asia through multichannel solutions of YSG – an end-to-end e-commerce solutions company under YCH Group. This initiative will help SMEs access end-to-end logistics solutions, with Vietnam SuperPort acting as a multimodal hub powered by the YSG e-commerce platform.

Vietnam Post will provide EMS express delivery services and will be the exclusive provider for first-mile and last-mile delivery services. Through this approach, SMEs will be able to optimise transportation and inventory maintaining costs, as well as ensure stable warehousing when accessing international markets.

In addition, Vietnam SuperPort will collaborate with Vietnam Post to develop an integrated logistics marketplace that connects the ecosystem of bonded warehouses, customers, shipping agents, and banks, while fully digitalising operational and payment processes. The platform will have a direct link with banks and apply blockchain technology for embedded financing and disbursement, helping SMEs improve access to financing options.

The initial phase of the project will be a pilot implementation for businesses in Vinh Phuc province to export goods to Singapore, followed by expansion to other provinces and extending to other markets in Asia.

Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort, stated, "Collaborating with Vietnam Post marks a significant milestone in our development strategy to enhance international trade capabilities and contribute to economic growth. By leveraging the strengths of both parties, proven solutions from YCH Group, and partners including Singapore startups, we will provide SMEs with customised platforms to access international markets, particularly Singapore, through a seamless and cost-effective e-commerce and logistics solution."

Nguyen Truong Giang, chairman of the Members' Council of Vietnam Post Corporation, said, "We are delighted to cooperate with Vietnam SuperPort to develop a platform that efficiently supports SMEs in exporting goods to the region. With Vietnam Post's extensive postal and logistics infrastructure combined with the technological solutions provided by Vietnam SuperPort, we can offer comprehensive services to help businesses expand globally."

At the Innovate Vietnam 2024 exhibition, Vietnam SuperPort unveiled a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap which leverages cutting-edge technologies, including AI, to drive the capabilities of Vietnam's logistics sector.
