Made in Vietnam fairs will promote local produced goods
The 2023 Made in Việt Nam Fair will be organised to popularise local branded products to a wider community in December.
According to the Hà Nội Promotion Agency(HPA), the fair aims to promote trade and support enterprises in finding new partners and expanding consumption markets.
HPA will hold the first fair from December 21-24 at the Thanh Xuân District’s Culture, Information and Sports Centre. The second one is from December 26-29 at the Đền Lừ Lake Park in Hoàng Mai District.
There will be from 100 to 120 kiosks at each fair.
Participants include businesses, cooperatives, manufacturing factories and representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Centre for Trade Promotion of Hà Nội, and provinces and cities nationwide.
Products displayed and promoted include domestically produced products of different industries such as consumer products, food and beverages, handicrafts and gifts, manufacturing and supporting industries, machinery and equipment, knitting and crochet, textiles, rattan weaving, footwear, OCOP products and accessories.
There will be special promotion programmes, introducing and selling products directly to local residents and tourists.
The traders will hold their product demonstrations and tell visitors their product stories. Customers will enjoy product trials and walk away with gifts and discount vouchers.
Distributors, trade centres, supermarkets, wholesale markets, e-commerce platforms, among others, will deal directly with agencies and businesses participating in the fair to learn about products, production capacity, and supply ability. They will also find sources of goods to bring into the distribution system; negotiate and sign cooperation minutes and product supply and consumption contracts.
Organisers say the fair is expected to help businesses attract investment in production, seek outputs, and push the export of made-in Việt Nam products while stimulating consumer demand.
At the same time, they will develop sustainable exports, leverage comparative advantages, effectively use resources, protect the ecological environment, and address social issues well.
It is expected that the fair will connect distribution businesses and manufacturing enterprises, creating long-term sustainable supply chains and product consumption.
The event’s activities will raise consumer awareness and trust in the quality and brands of Vietnamese products, effectively implementing the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritise using Vietnamese products”.
